The Søndervig Sand Sculpture Festival 2026 has chosen “Tales from One Thousand and One Nights” as its theme — and visitors can look forward to stepping into an enchanting universe of stories where Aladdin, Sinbad the Sailor, and Scheherazade are brought to life in gigantic sculptures made of sand.

International artists will once again compete to create the most detailed and lifelike works — some up to seven meters tall. The festival, which attracts thousands of visitors every year, promises an experience where imagination and the sound of the sea blend together.
